I may be named after an intense storm, but after every storm comes calm and sunshine and that is who I truly am. With my glossy black fur and white polka dot on my chest, I can't wait to have my own family. I started my life on a rural property, but with the help of a partner agency transfer, I have landed on my feet when I arrived at MEOW. I am the type of cat that will do very well on my own, and cat friends could be ok also, if they match my size and personality. No rough housing for me - I am more of an observer and a strategist, and play well on my own. But of course, love makes the world go round and that is what I cherish the most.

Lance is not your average neighbourhood stray - he is an extraordinary friendly stray, who has great expectations of soon becoming an owned pet and a homeowner. Lance found a TNR feeding station, free food and comfort, and set up camp for over two weeks. The caregiver tried her best to find an owner, but without success. Lance is happy, healthy and has a playful, goofy personality combined with a sweet affectionate and cuddly nature. If you have room on your couch, Lance would like to claim his spot.

A sweet little bean, it’s time to meet Parlour. Unable to stay in her first home, Parlour has come to MEOW for a fresh start. Now that Parlour has settled into life at the Adoption Centre, she feels safe and secure, and is the biggest sweetheart. Her favourite things include chin and cheek scratches, soft blankets, gazing into your eyes and purring love songs to you. If you are ready to find feline love, Parlour could be your girl.

Popcorn is ready to find his forever home. In the words of his foster home, 'Popcorn is the most unique kitty I've ever met'.

Popcorn ADORES cuddling - especially up by your head at night, and loves face kisses all over, to touch noses and smell you when he greets you. He is quite vocal, and loves to be greeted when you get home, and talked to throughout the day. He even plays tag - he makes sure he gets his foster's attention before racing to his favourite place, waiting to be 'caught' and showered with attention.

Toys are lots of fun, but he will always love you the best. He is very smart and knows exactly when he gets fed twice a day. He is ok with gentle belly rubs, but is not a cat that loves to be picked up for any length of time, but being held in a cuddle is A-OK.

Popcorn has also been diagnosed with Feline Leukemia which means he must be adopted as a single cat or as a companion to another Feline Leukemia positive cat. Feline Leukemia cats appear and act as healthy as other cats, but they do have an increased risk of getting sick due to a weakened immune system. They should be protected from stress and fed a high quality diet. Their life span is often shorter, but it is not possible to predict. Every cat is unique.

Popcorn also has had to have all his teeth removed and is on a daily medication, but it does not affect his quality of life or appetite.😺

The most important thing to know is that Popcorn has a beautiful, engaging and happy personality. He adores people and has so much love to give. Hi Everyone. My name is Ukulele and I come from rural Alberta. I found a barn that looked like it might have some decent housing, but the resident barn cats had other ideas. The kind property owner reached out to MEOW and I have done a 360 turn from living rough, to accommodation that could be called the cat’s meow.
I am a friendly guy once I get to know you, but I can be easily alarmed and sometimes you will see me use my classic airplane ears to let you know. I am meeting and making friends in my adoption room, so here I am, happily waiting to meet my match. Just a regular neighbourhood guy - meet Cumulus. After roaming and running in a Calgary neighbourhood for over two months, a kind rescuer took the time to feed him and slowly gain his trust. Since arriving at MEOW, he has been resting, recovering from a dental surgery to remove a broken tooth, and charming the people who care for him. In addition to his friendly and affectionate personality, he loves to have a good chat, combined with a pet and purr session. He is hoping that summertime may be his time to head home.

Introducing “Lucy”, a former mama who is a sweetheart with an adorable pink nose, named after the unique pink interior of a Lucy Rose Apple. Lucy genuinely enjoys the presence of people and makes biscuits with chin scritches.
Lucy Rose returned to MEOW when life circumstances changed and she needed the support of MEOW. She is such a happy, lovely little lady who deserves a home where she’s showered with the love of her human, and possibly some feline friends after a slow introduction.

Rescued in small town Alberta, Crossbones was welcomed at MEOW to begin his adoption journey to a new home. He is a sweet, friendly and affectionate fellow, but he has faced some health challenges. After a dental surgery, he is feeling much better, but it was also discovered that even at his relatively young age, a renal diet is recommended with some exceptions, to support his optimal health.
