Chirp is a very entertaining and confident kitten whose alert eyes follow one everywhere. She is so playful that she invents activities to amuse herself by turning almost every box, bag, pencil or sock into a toy for her own amusement. After tearing around from room to room for an hour or 2, she loves to climb into the nearest lap for a great cuddle with ear scratches and tummy rubs. Ending in a nap.

Sweet, handsome, and full of charm, Quinoa is looking for his perfect home! This cuddly Siamese Cross loves chin scratches, tunnels, boxes, and is starting to enjoy puzzle toys. Unlike most Siamese, he’s not very vocal! Quinoa enjoys spending time with people and is always up for a visit and a play, or taking cozy naps on the couch or bed. He is always quick to greet staff and volunteers at the door, and eagerly flops over for belly rubs and attention (and often doesn't want us to leave, trying to follow us through the door)!

Quinoa must be the only pet in the home, as he doesn’t get along with other cats and hasn’t been introduced to dogs. He’s cautious with small children, so a home with adults or older kids would suit him best.

My name is BB and I am seeking a cat experienced adopter! You could say I am a very special girl with some health issues that are often associated with my Bengal ancestry. I have lost my sight due to a genetic condition called Progressive Retinal Atrophy. My eyes are very beautiful and while I cannot see you, I can sense you with my acute hearing, and I adore being with my person (even though I'm not the biggest cuddler). In no time at all, I master my surroundings and I LOVE to explore, and you'd barely even know I'm vision impaired! Due to my love of being with humans, I would do best with an adopter that is home often to give me the attention I desire. I also love to chat with my humans, you could say I'm a vocal gal! Another challenge I have are allergies, and my health care team has worked tirelessly with diet and medication to help me enjoy my life to the fullest. Due to being blind and having a fear of loud noises and sudden movements, I would do best in a calm, adult only home. While I haven't lived with dogs before, I have met one and did well, so I might have the potential to do well with a calm and respectful canine.

Keeth is a really beautiful cat. We do not know if Keeth ever had a home, but we do know that he lived on the streets for some time. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was very shy. He is still shy and loud noises scare him, but he likes to be petted and to spend time with his cat friends! He has become a cat who will jump up on laps for a little while before going about the rest of his day. He is a quiet boy who does not play a lot, but he does enjoy a good round of chase the toy. His favourite toy is a turbo scratcher.

Keeth has a condition called mega colon, which requires daily medication and prescription vet food for his entire life. The food and medication are readily available and is no more costly than other prescription diets and he does very well on his diet. Any adopters will need to be diligent about his vet care to ensure that he lives a long, healthy life.

Born outdoors, but ready to make indoor memories - meet Vixen. Vixen came to MEOW from a rural property where she had been born. With the help of the kind rescuer, she was given a chance to live indoors and begin her socialization schooling in preparation for her first home. Vixen is still quite shy, so she will need a more mature home with time and patience to help her feel welcome and secure. She likes the safety of her hidey bed and from there she is a keen observer of all the feline antics going on in her adoption room. Gentle pets and loving words are the way to Vixen's heart. We are pleased as punch to introduce Pine. This fluffy boy is embarking on his next adventure to find a forever home. Rescued from the same property as Vixen, he was also given the chance of a lifetime to shelter indoors with his rescuer and pick up some 'people' tips. Welcome Chutney. This handsome and friendly stray needed a helping hand. Sometimes even young cats can have dental disease and this is what happened with Chutney. He has had all his teeth removed (except for his smile - his four canines) and he can't find the words to tell everyone how much better he feels. Chutney will be able to live a very normal happy life without those annoying teeth. He can eat canned and dry food; he is pain free and ready for his forever home. I am a big and sometimes sassy guy. I prefer a quieter place of residence without other pets or kids. I have a weird love/hate relationship with bags. When you handle one it startles me, but I like to try to climb inside of them. Despite being kind of picky and oddly, I am not a big fan of Temptations treats. I have a healthy appetite and will do anything for food!

I do play with toys with you and alone but not for long. Once I settle in with you, I will try to take your spot on the couch or at worst lean on you while sitting next to you. After a couple of months I won't mind if you pick me up for some cuddles. I do like it when you kneel down on the floor to pet me; just not my stomach. I love a sunny spot to lie and will talk to the birds when they come by to visit.

Katashi has early hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy aka heart disease. He does not need any medications at this time, however he will need yearly check ups and monitoring of his heart for progression of the disease.

Cannonball is a striking brown tabby and white lad. He must have been on the streets as a stray for a while, before an agency transfer to MEOW. Nowadays, he is a valued member of our Intake Office Team and happily takes part directing and supervising staff and attending meetings. He is affectionate, curious and ready to find his perfect match.

Life on the streets can be tough for a former tom cat who has to defend his territory and so it is most probable, Cannonball contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) as a result of one of these territorial skirmishes. Like any cat, Cannonball needs something he has never had - a forever home. With normal attentive care, cats with FIV can live long and happy lives.

Dalton won the lottery! As a neighbourhood stray, he was found with a severely injured tail. Thanks to some very kind and determined people, a rescue was orchestrated, and he was admitted to a partner vet clinic. Under expert medical care, Dalton’s tail was amputated, and he has since made a full recovery at MEOW.

Dalton is a character through and through! He often vocalizes his grumpy little messages, but don’t be fooled, he’s all meow and no bite. Once he’s comfortable, his playful side shines through as he struts around with a bit of swagger and enjoys batting at his toys. He loves being petted from neck to tail and will happily lean into fingers for more affection.

Dalton gets along well with respectful dogs and has a soft spot for anyone who brings snacks. His enthusiasm for mealtime will absolutely astonish you. All Dalton needs now is a forever home to match his big personality and even bigger heart.

Fleet of foot and smart as only a cat can be - meet Klimt. Klimt very happily indulged himself at a TNR feeding station for over a year and enjoyed regular visits with the caregiver. But when it came time to try and get this big ol' boy in a cat kennel, Klimt wasn't having it and moved faster than the speed of light. A humane trap finally nabbed him and his new future at MEOW has unfolded day by day.

Understandably nervous for the first couple of days, it only took Klimt a few more days to have the staff and volunteers wrapped around his little paw. He is an absolutely delightful character who has left his stray days behind him and will soon make a one lucky family complete.
