Thrift Shop Volunteers
Thrift volunteers are our foundation and our family. Without their support and dedication we could not complete our mission.
Various positions are available. Volunteer shifts are between 3.5 to 4 hours. Volunteers must be 18 years of age+. Please see details below for information about specific shifts and duties. There are many ways to find an ideal task that suits you and your skills.
Commitment
MEOW encourages volunteers to commit to a six-month period for their volunteer service. In cases where a volunteer cannot commit to a six-month volunteer term, the volunteer coordinator may approve a short-term placement in accordance with operational needs.
MEOW Charity Thrift Shop Positions
Retail Front of Store Positions
Our Front of Store volunteers offer a friendly customer experience, handle cash transactions, and ensure our store front remains organized and well stocked.
Police check required.
Donation Receiver Positions
Our Receivers meet donors at the door and transfer donated items from the side door to storage.
They must be able to bend and lift items up to 35lbs and carry them up and down stairs. Receivers also may share cleaner duties.
Donation Cleaner Positions
Cleaners sort through, wash, and test new donations.
Must be comfortable using various cleaning products.

Donation Receiver - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday:
Retail Front of Store - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Thursday:
Donation Receiver - 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Donation Receiver - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday:
Donation Receiver - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday:
Retail Front of Store - 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Retail Front of Store - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Donation Receiver - 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
