Volunteer at the Thrift Shop

Help us make a difference in the lives of Calgary's stray and abandoned cats!

Thrift Shop Volunteers

Thrift volunteers are MEOW Foundation Ambassadors. Our volunteers are our bread and butter, and we couldn't run the shop without them. They proudly support and guide MEOW through everything.

Retail and Receiver positions are available for volunteers who are confident and comfortable communicating with donors and customers.

Volunteer shifts are 3.5 to 4 hours. Please see details below for information about specific shifts and duties. There are many ways to find an ideal task that suits you and your needs!

MEOW encourages volunteers to commit to a six-month period for their volunteer service. This will ensure that the volunteer has received the adequate training and is familiar with all policies and procedures.

In cases where a volunteer cannot commit to a six-month volunteer term, the volunteer coordinator may approve a short-term placement in accordance with operational needs.
