Bernard came to us close to seven years ago, and we loved him dearly. He was a wonderful friend, very polite and well mannered. He was a buddy (and sometimes a bully) to our other kitty Monty (MEOW name Mauser) when we decided to bring in a companion for him. Monty loved him and followed him everywhere. He even taught him how to be more vocal!
Because of his medical issues that he has had for years, and the treatment of those issues, his quality of life was suffering. He had enough of the medicines twice a day, needles, IV fluids and hospital visits. We made the agonizing decision to send him on his way to the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, September 13. Our hearts are broken but we know that we did our best for him. He’s now in a peaceful place with his health restored.
Bernard, you were well loved and will always hold a place in our hearts. We miss you so much! We look forward to seeing you again some day.
