Bess's story is one that is quite common for young, feral female cats. She was rescued along with her five young kittens; her kittens were adopted. After many months at MEOW, Bess was also adopted along with her friend, Purrl, and then some years later, Bess and Purrl were no longer able to stay in their home and returned to MEOW.

Bess and Purrl are still somewhat fearful of people and that is who they are. They have lived very happily in a home with each other's company. Our hope for them is that they will find the perfect adopter who is cat savvy and will accept these two lovely girls just as they are - beautiful, shy and deserving of a forever home.
