A beautiful soul - Meet Mog! Mog had some bad luck. He was unable to stay in his first home, moved to a second home and then was diagnosed as diabetic and needed a new home once again.

He is the type of cat that will probably tolerate another cat with proper introductions, but he would be happiest as a single cat and spoiled with love and attention. Mog is a big fan of drinking from the tap and even spends time snoozing in the sink, waiting for his next opportunity to have a drink.

Mog has feline diabetes. Did you know that diabetes is much more common in males? It can be easily managed with insulin injections twice a day. The injections are just under the skin, are inexpensive and not painful. While it is ideal to give the insulin injections every 12 hours, life and personal schedules can be complicated. Some owners do a 10 hour and 14 hour or an 11 and 13 hour schedule and their pets manage well.

It is also beneficial to feed diabetic cats a diabetic management prescription diet which is readily available at veterinary clinics.

Do not be afraid of adopting Mog. He is just like any other senior cat who has a chronic health issue. MEOW will be able to provide any advice and training you need to administer his medication. Please consider giving Mog the home he deserves.
