Rugged but bashful, meet Heathcliff. Heathcliff appeared at one of MEOW's TNR sites to partake in the smorgasbord for the community cats. The caregiver noticed that his eyes seemed very irritated and painful.

Since his arrival at MEOW, he has had entropian eye surgery to offer him relief from the constant irritation from his eyelids turning inward. He has been such a good boy and tolerated his eyes drops and handling by volunteers.

Due to Heathcliff's long time on the streets and probably from a past old-fashioned cat fight, he has contracted FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Please do not be afraid of adopting Heathcliff. Cats with FIV can live long uneventful lives wtih normal attentive care. Heathcliff could be a companion in a household with Martie. Consider a pair.

Heathcliff is quite timid and may never have had the opporutnity to live in a home. He will need a home that is mature, quiet and with a predictable routine. You will need to be very patient as it may take him some months to settle in and feel comfortable.

*Heathcliff has been sponsored by eleven (11) Christmas Guardian Angels.

**Merry Christmas to all the cats.

**Merry Christmas kitties and staff. All the very best for 2022.
