Carrie Anne who is now named Maura is such a great addition to my family. Although Maura had a very stressful ride home it didn’t take her long to realize she was now in her forever home! Within the hour of being home, Maura was all around exploring her new surroundings and making lots of happy meows to let you know she was here 🙂
Maura’s personality comes out more and more every day. Did you know she was a big talker??!! She is always talking, telling stories when you come home or she will let out a couple meows when she needs some more petting. She likes to be right in the middle of everything and when she finally settles down on the couch she likes to stretch her paws so she is touching me. She loves her new scratching post, her little grey mouse which she is forever washing and her pink octopus that she loves to snuggle up to. Maura also really loves her mom’s yellow blanket and sometimes there is a fight over who gets to sleep with it.
And oh does Maura love Francisco’s shoes!! When he comes to visit, Maura heads right over to rub her chin all over them and will eventually lay down for a snooze on them. Francisco loves to give Maura treats even tho sometimes I think she’s had too many 🙂
Maura is also a huge bed hog as her favorite place to sleep is at the bottom of my feet. She is also very clumsy and wakes me up in the middle of the night when she needs to walk across the pillows to get to her comfy place.
