Bronson is a Perfect Match

In July of 2016 I was on the lookout for a new kitten to join my home. My elderly cat Roger had recently passed away leaving things feeling rather empty and my other cat Xirty a bit lonely.  My internet search introduced me to the MEOW Foundation for the first time, amazingly I had never heard of you before, but I’m so glad that I found you. My experience with your wonderful staff and foster families was nothing short of amazing.  It’s wonderful to see all of these cats and kittens thriving in loving environments while they await their forever homes.

breakfast-with-xirty2Back in July I adopted Bronson from you (previously known as Harvee). Bronson has quickly become the center of our family!  While he was a little shy to start with, which I suspect is why he was the last of his litter to be adopted, he quickly came out of his shell once he was home.  He has an extremely curious nature and loves to investigate everything that’s going on in the house.  He always wants to be with me no matter what I’m doing, he’s become my little shadow, following me around while I clean, or make dinner, or just watch TV.  My other cat Xirty is still a little wary of him, but they are slowly developing a nice relationship.  In the beginning there was a lot of hissing and growling, but now they will sleep on the same bed, eat dinner together and even play with the same toys. I think with a little more time they will soon be cuddling up together for naps!

Bronson has also come on a couple of trips to Edmonton since he joined us.  He’s adjusted to the long car ride in his kennel very well and usually sleeps the entire way.  He quickly became bosom buddies with my parents 2.5 year old cat Zeus! The two of them were instant friends, wrestling and tumbling and chasing each other around within 5 minutes of meeting (despite the fact that Zeus is 3x his size!).  They can’t get enough of each other.  When it comes time for us to leave and go home, Bronson is so tuckered out from all the playing he’s done with Zeus that he usually sleeps for a whole day when we get home haha!  I think they will be best friends for years to come.

exploring-the-gazebo21I’ve also purchased a harness for little Bronnie (2 actually, because he’s nearly grown out of the first one already).  We’ve trained all our other cats to be out in the fenced back yard at mum and dads and not wander off, so I’m in the process of teaching Bronson about being out in the yard as well. So far we have only gone as far as the deck and the gazebo, but he is doing very well. He adjusted to his harness almost immediately and doesn’t seem to mind wearing it at all.  He’s a little shy about the new noises outside and likes to have his kennel close by in case he needs to go back for some security.  But he loves to explore around and investigate all the new sights and smells.

This new little boy has stolen my heart and I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you again for bringing little Bronson into my life!  He keeps me busy with his fun loving personality, but also fills my life with love because he is also very cuddly and loving.  He is the perfect match for our little home and I can’t imagine life without him now.

I’ve also attached several pictures for you to enjoy!  (Bronson watching TV with me (lol), eating and napping with his new sister, exploring the gazebo at my parents house in Edmonton and cuddling with his new best buddy Sully the blue stuffed monster)

Thank you again!
