What is a Foster Home?
A MEOW foster home provides a temporary home for rescued cats and
kittens until they are adopted or can be moved to our shelter. As a foster
home you provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment and MEOW
provides all the necessary supplies such as food, litter, toys and covers
all the veterinary expenses.
Why Become a Foster Home?
MEOW relies heavily on foster homes to provide refuge to
frightened, sick or injured cats. Foster homes are also the
only resource MEOW has to help house 300 to 400 mothers
and kittens each year. At least half of MEOW adoptions each
year are kittens. Without the valuable offer of your home as
a temporary sanctuary, MEOW cannot rescue all these wee
little souls. The calls for the rescue of mothers and kittens
often exceed our available foster homes. Please seriously
consider becoming part of MEOW's foster home network.
Can you give a survivor a second chance?
