Calm, cool Jesse
Jesse is a relaxed fellow that takes all of life's troubles in stride. When he came to the MEOW Adoption Center, he wasn't too upset by all the activity and other cats he saw. He settled into his comfy cat bet and had a nap!
If you look closely at his picture, you can see that in addition to his gorgeous white fur coat, Jesse has one green eye and one blue eye!
Jesse loves attention and delights in making new friends.

Dandelion is a Dandy of a Cat
From his picture, you can see that Dandelion is a quiet, unassuming fellow. He exudes calmness and is overall a pretty laid back cat.
Living on the street was not how Dandelion envisioned his life. He had always hoped he would have a family of laps to snuggle on and have his very own fan club.
At the MEOW Adoption Center, Dandelion has been on his very best behaviour - who knows, his forever family might be just around the corner!

years old
-
Long
-
Grey tabby
- Needs a cat companion to feel happy and secure
- Needs a predictable, relaxed home (Teens OK)
|
|
|
It’s Glenni’s time to shine.
Found under a porch with her four younger siblings and mother, Glenni has had to take on the role of second mother for four kittens. She has dutifully watched over and cared these kittens without so much of a complaint giving up much of her own youth along the way. She is a little shy but loves to play but only after her chores are done.
Now Glenni is looking to spread her paws and come out of her shell in a forever-home. You can tell by her picture that she’s pretty cat. What you can’t tell is that she’s also a sweet-heart who loves to relax in sun-beams and keep an eye on things at the same time.
Maybe Glenni can shine in your home?

At the MEOW Adoption Center, Che has settled in very nicely. He loves attention and is very curious, always wanting to see what is in the next room. He gets along well with the other kitties too.
All Che needs now is his own forever home that he can count on.

years old
-
Medium
-
Dilute tortie
- Can be the only cat, or have a companion
- Needs a predictable, relaxed home (Teens OK)
|
|
|
Rhanna's turn for love.
When Rhanna and her kittens were rescued by MEOW, they had been living under a dusty deck. Rhanna was being a model mother when she wouldn't let anyone near her babies. At her foster home she is learning how to trust and now likes pets and treats from her foster mom.
Rhanna is not a fan of dogs and makes it known that she is very nervous when a dog is nearby.
As sad as it sounds, Rhanna is just now slowly learning how to play - she has been too busy raising her kittens to have any fun of her own!
Because she was living outside for some time, Rhanna would be best in a quieter home where she can slowly get used to house noises. Rhanna is affectionate but is still working on her lap cat skills.
Rhanna is ready to start her new life with YOU!

She is a wonderful mom but the time has come for her babies to find their own families. Corinn is looking forward to being the main attraction in someone’s home! Having peace and quiet will be a nice change for this young mom.
Corinn would prefer to go to a home with a mature cat that will suit her mellow style rather than an energetic youngster.

- Must be the only cat in a home
- Needs a predictable, relaxed home (Teens OK)

Sunrizer has seen his share of sun rises!
Sunrizer is, shall we say, a middle-aged gentleman. After living outdoors and watching the sun come up one too many times without a loving family, he really appreciates his new found life sleeping in - in a nice warm safe bed.
Sunrizer is very friendly with people and really likes to be close to you, but he is not demanding of attention. He enjoys slow gentle petting down his back and getting his behind patted. Even though Sunrizer is a mature cat, he is a soccer fan and will play energetically by himself.
Sunrizer was very sad living outdoors, but now he is getting his smile back!

She has lost some weight, so now she is as active as a kitten. She pounces and jumps for her toys and then does a fast run into another room.
She learns new tricks quickly, especially how to get a treat out of a treat ball. She likes to talk to you and sleep at your feet.
Sweet Charity needs your love and promises to reward you tenfold.

Melina was rescued from a garbage dump with her two surviving kittens and was initially quite scared of people, but who can blame her! After lots of TLC from her foster mom, Melina is quickly learned to trust her human companions again. Now she enjoys a morning snuggle with her foster mom and purrs up a storm to show her appreciation.
Melina enjoys chin rubs and treats, and she gets along with the resident cats in her foster home. Melina is a pretty little girl, who will be a sweet and loving companion to people and other cats.

Survivor.
Kelva had a rough start. Rescued with four young kittens, Kelva was literally at the end of her rope with the effort needed to care for and protect her kittens. Sick, dehydrated and emaciated at the time of her rescue, Kelva nearly made the ultimate sacrifice as she struggled to care for her family. Even to this day, Kelva is still very much attached to her daughter, Coco Channel. The two of them have decided to face the world together!
Kelva needs some time to learn to socialize with human friends. She is really sorry if she tries to hide or run away at first. She really doesn’t want to, but hopes you will understand she is full of promise and dreams unfulfilled.
Can you give Kelva the time she needs?

What Fox Trot would really like is for someone to adopt him and never let him go.

Chevy
-
Male, 4.8
years old
-
Short
-
Orange Tabby
- Can be the only cat, or have a companion
- Needs a predictable, relaxed home (Teens OK)
|
|
|
Want to hang out?
When Chevy first arrived at the MEOW Adoption Center he didn’t want anything to do with anyone. If you tried to pet him, he would swat every time.
Over time, as volunteers kept trying to work with him, he began to tolerate being touched and then have the back of his neck scratched, but only from behind. He then began to purr when you scratched the back of his neck, or sometimes even his cheeks, but only if you came from behind.
Chevy has gotten better and better with people. In fact, he has become a little lovebug! He loves to be petted and scratched! Just recently, he rolled over on his back and splayed open all four paws for a belly rub. Purring the entire time!
Be cool and hang with Chevy!

Deanna

years old
-
Short
-
Lilac Point Siamese Cross
- Must be the only cat in a home
- Needs a predictable, relaxed home (Teens OK)
|
|
|
Beautiful Cat Dancer
Deanna is a petite darling who really does stand up on her back legs and leans against your leg to express her delight, affection and contentment in your company.
Deanna is a perfect little girl, but she does have one special need. It is not clear that she was ever fully litter box trained.
What we do know is that Deanna deserves to be loved. Deanna needs someone to take the time to make it work and to love her, no matter what. It takes a special heart to take in an animal with special needs.
But Deanna is really worth it. You won't find a friendlier, more beautiful or more worth-the-extra-effort cat!

Bizet
-
Male, 3.3
years old
-
Short
-
Brown tabby
- Must be the only cat in a home
- OK in noisy home with children, or quiet adults
|
|
|
Happy Brown Tabby!
Bizet knows what he wants. Once he was moved to his foster home, he realized where all the kitties that left the MEOW Adoption Center with families were going. He had no idea living in a people house would be so grand!
Imagine his delight when he had his very own foster to care for and love him. He was over the moon when he discovered there was also a small human to play with. He really seems to take a special liking to children.
When the children are not there, Bizet amuses himself with a green ball which he chases up and down the hallway. When exercise time is done, this handsome boy can be found cuddled up next to his foster mom for a little quiet time.
Due to Bizet's long time on the streets and probably from a past territorial skirmish, he has contracted FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Please do not be afraid of adopting Bizet.
Come in and meet this happy boy!

Mischievous Brissy!
Brissy is a bundle of activity. He is always the first of his litter to come out and play; he just can’t sit still for long! His favorite toy is the wand toy which entertains him for hours.
His second love is treats. This little scamp steals his siblings treats right from under their noses! It’s a good thing his foster home has enough treats for everyone or his family would never get any.
Brissy is still working on his people skills. He will now crawl across your lap. Using his second love, treats, is a great way to get this handsome kitty to trust you.
Can Brissy eat treats in your house?

While her foster home is a much safer place than the street, Samba knows it isn't her forever home. Samba would very much like to find a permanent home, one that will make her feel safe and secure, and she hopes it could be with her big brother Don Cherry.

What a brave little girl!
Muffin (or Muffy as her foster mom calls her) decided early on that street life was not for her or her siblings. She proceeded to befriend her foster Mom, convincing her to take the four youngsters in and save them from a life in an industrial area.
Whether it is treat time or play time, Muffy lets you know. She will pester you until you figure it out!
Muffy can be snuggly and playful. She loves a bath towel (wet or dry) to play with and roughhouses daily with her sibings.
Girly girl or tom boy, Muffy fits the bill.

He is a strong and healthy orange tabby with a white tip on his tail. A little more person to cat time would bring this beauty to trusting and loving.
Please let Tigger into your heart.

Paisley is not just a pretty face - she also has the softest fur ranging in color from orange to brown. She is gradually gaining confidence and loves to chase foam balls and play "string toy under the blanket".
Patience and lot of person to kitty time is all she asks for on her new journey.

Whilst on the street, Liniab could only dream of having his own family to love and perhaps even a comfy cat bed to call his own. He loves the beds at the MEOW Adoption Center and he will even share a bed with all his kitty friends.

Eydie is a sweet girl who was rescued along with her kittens. On the street, Eydie did a wonderful job keeping her kittens out of harm's way. At her foster home, she was so relieved that her tiny family was finally safe, she couldn't seem to get enough cat naps!
She is not demanding of attention but loves being petted and responds by purring. Right now she's a bit chubby as her protectors fed her a lot waiting for MEOW to rescue her! Now she is receiving only nutritious cat food and is starting to trim down.
Can this sweet girl puurrrrr her way into your home?

Street life is tough!
Poor Doran was no match for the tough cats he encountered when he was on the street. He found a feeding station but unfortunately there was already a kitty who had staked his claim there. When Doran came by for a bite, he had to be quick or else he would get beaten up.
Doran is very thankful for the safe food supply he has at the MEOW Adoption Center. He never has to worry about someone else eating his dinner!
Doran is a shy fellow and will need his forever home to be patient with him as he continues to revel in his good fortune.
Please let Doran be part of your family.

Stelmaria

years old
-
Short
-
Black and white manx
- Must be the only cat in a home
- OK in noisy home with children, or quiet adults
|
|
|
Don't call me Bob!
Even though she does have a bobtail, Stelmaria hates it when anyone calls her Bob. She is a petite cat with a glossy black coat, snow-white whiskers and paws, and even a bright white lightning bolt down her front
Stelmaria's story has been a great adventure: initially found on the streets, she was moved to multiple homes over a short period until she gave birth (surprisingly) on Valentine’s Day and MEOW came to the rescue.
Affectionate and obedient, she is extremely sweet and relaxed, and has been a wonderful mother to her two kittens Fringe and Bangle. Stelmaria has an endearing habit of talking constantly to her kittens as well as people. Stelmaria absolutely adores snuggling and getting pets from her human companions, and enjoys playing with her kittens.
Truly a kitten at heart. Stelmaria loves nothing more than a few treats, a box to play in and some cuddles.

Black Beauty.
Beauty was rescued and brought to a foster family just in time to have her kittens.
She had 4 kittens in March and is a wonderful and attentive mom. She played with the kittens and talked with them all the time. She enjoys rubbing against you to be petted, and even will flop onto her back for her tummy to be petted.
She does not like being picked up or held yet, but is quite friendly and has a very good temperament.
Beauty is just a kitten herself and playing along with her kittens with her toys. She will even keep herself entertained by batting a soft ball around and chasing it down.
What a beauty of a cat!

At the MEOW Adoption Center, Jay is a calm fellow who enjoys being petted and getting people attention. He gets along well with his feline roommates and is overall a pleasant kitty.
Jay is looking for a forever family that will lavish him with love and keep him safe from all the dangers that lurk outside.

Black
- Needs a cat companion to feel happy and secure
- Needs a predictable, relaxed home (Teens OK)

Shy lady looking for love
Cher is a bit timid around the humans but does seek out the other cats for companionship That doesn't mean that she doesn't want to be where the action is: she is always there to watch. Cher can always be convinced to forget all her inhibitions at the mere sight of a red laser pointer dot passing near her feet.
Cher is curious about people and likes to sleep in the room her foster family are in or always be in sight of them.
A patient forever home that would be able to coax her out of her shyness would be ideal for Cher.

Time for Liora!
When this brave mother was rescued from the cold with her five kids, she was nervous and confused about her new surroundings. Now she’s very thankful to be in a nice warm home with all the love, food and playtime she could ever want!
While she’s still a little bit shy around people, Liora has come to realize that humans are excellent at giving scritches and yummy seafood kitty treats, and will seek her foster humans out for these pleasures.
Raising two litters of kittens was hard work, and now this sweet girl is ready to be spoiled!

Is there room in your life for me?
Eilmitore was rescued from an exisiting MEOW TNR site. The poor fellow was so happy to have found food! Unfortunately, there was a lot of competition for the food and poor Eilmitore wasn't always getting enough.
Once he found himself safe and sound at the MEOW Adoption Center, Eilmitore could finally let his guard down. He simply could not believe that he was getting three meals a day plus snacks! And the people! my goodness, this happy fellow is still in awe of all the love and attention he has been getting.
As far as forever homes go, Eilmitore is hoping that he won't have to wait too long to find love.

Shyla is NOT shy
She is a friendly, petite young mother, with lovely muted orange colouring. She came to her foster home as a pregnant youngster.
Shyla loves to play just as much as her 4 kittens. She is quite used to household noise. ie. she’s not afraid of the blowdryer, but does hiss at the vacuum cleaner (but then, who among us has not done the same?)
Shyla does love to sleep curled up at your feet or snuggled in behind your knees. When she is awake and playtime has exhausted her, Shyla enjoys being carried, snuggled in your arms.
Shyla would love to come to your house and save you from your vacuum cleaner!

Rough start for Abbey.
Sadly for Abbey, some unkind people had been tormenting her small family and when MEOW came to take them off the street, Abbey and one kitten were missing. Lady luck smiled on Abbey when she was finally spotted with her last kitten.
At her foster home, Abbey is still very timid and will not let her foster people pick her up, but she likes to be petted and is not aggressive at all. It will take her some time to relax and realize that all people are not bad - most are wonderfully nice!
In her new forever home, Abbey will need only 3 things - love, patience and food/water!
Please help Abbey find love and peace.

Lucky Annabella,
Annabella and her 5 kittens were relieved to be rescued by MEOW. Whilst on the street, Annabella had been moving her kittens from house to house in order to keep them safe and fed. She certainly was a busy little Mother cat!
At her foster home, Annabella has shown herself to be a very friendly kitty. She is affectionate and loves it when her foster family brushes her.
Now that her kittens are finding their forever homes, Annabella is hoping that somewhere out there is a forever, loving family for her.
Please come and meet Annabella.

What a beauty!
When Darlynn first came to her foster home she was very frightened. She may have never been in a people house before. While she was grateful to have her wee kittens out of the cold, she must have been wondering what was going on!
She has made wonderful progress with her comfort level around people. She will eat treats out of her foster's hand and will even enjoy a gentle pet. Darlynn still gets nervous but this brave little kitty is doing her best to be a good girl.
Darlynn is a darling waiting for her very own home.

Pia the independent cat!
Pia is a reluctant housecat. She’s used to taking care of herself. She’s done an excellent job of it too. Though she’d lived outdoors before her rescue, except for a little frost damage to the fringe of an ear, she stayed healthy, maintaining a shiny black and white coat and clear bright green eyes. She taught her kittens to do the same; - to wash their faces after eating and to keep their fur groomed clean.
She had some human assistance to rely on before she came in form the cold, but because she’d done it for so long to survive, Pia still felt she had to go out on her evening rounds. She’s slowly accepting that the regular activities that helped her survive outdoors are no longer necessary. Living is easier when indoors.
Pia is not upset by the noises and activities indoors. Being near people is what still worries her. She’d prefer to be silent and not seen. She is beginning to accept she must come to where the people are to eat or for treats, and she’s beginning to realize she has a name of her own. She will tolerate petting and even brushing, and can be picked up for short periods. Pia will need time and patience to accept the constraints of living indoors and longer still to become enthusiastic about indoor luxuries and welcoming laps.
Pia is worth the extra effort.

Ears? All the better to hear you with my dear!
As a young abandoned mother, Tinkerbell found the first available safe spot she could to give birth to her kittens: under the front concrete steps of a neighbourhood home. She used her keen sense of hearing to make sure all human visitors to the home, including the Canada Post delivery person, kept their distance from her precious babies.
Now that Tinkerbell and her kittens, Tigerlily and Gideon, are safe with MEOW, Tinkerbell is able to relax, nibble on treats and watch her kittens grow and thrive. Tinkerbell is just waiting to finally have a home of her own and can’t wait to bring her qualities of intense loyalty and love to you.

Jeppe has been on the street for over five years when MEOW rescued him. He must be a smart fellow as he lived near two very busy streets without having a mishap.
He was also lucky in that he had two kind ladies feeding him. When it was time to pick him up, Jeppe instead wanted to play and would not cooperate! After much negotiation, Jeppe finally conceded to become a MEOW cat.
At the MEOW Adoption Center, Jeppe has been on his best behaviour. One look at him and you can see he does not regret that day he finally stopped being a homeless kitty.

Orange, cute and homeless….
Beautiful Iliana had been homeless for a while. She was rescued along with her kittens when the wee ones were almost 2 months old.
In her foster home, Iliana was very shy at first. She would hide when her foster mom or dad came into the room, coming out to eat when she and her kittens were alone. The past few days she has discovered that chin and head rubs are quite pleasant. Each day she comes more and more comfortable living in a people house.
In her new forever home, Iliana will need to have a patient family that will let her come out of her shell at her pace.
This sweet little lady deserves a lifetime of love.

Whatcha doin'? Kimiko was rescued many years ago, shortly after having kittens in the streets. Her scarred left ear is evidence of a pretty rough start to life, and she was quite upset by the all the activity and other cats she saw at the centre. After spending 6 loving years with her first family, Kimiko is looking to avoid a stressful relocation abroad by settling down in a peaceful Calgary home instead. Kimiko will be the first to tell you that she deserves a little respect - she does tend to be overwhelmed upon a first introduction. After Kimiko gets to know you, she will always greet you at the door to tell you all about her day. Then, she will follow you around the house to make she doesn't miss out on any action! Unless, of course, she notices a nice spot of sunshine to nap in...
While the presence of another feline is quite stressful, Kimiko has bonded with certain dogs that can return the love. This spunky little girl will play hours, but only if you offer a warm lap to nap on afterwards!

Maura needs so little to be happy. While she was on the street Maura was happy when her mommy was able to keep her fed and not too cold. But that life was very unsafe for Maura and her family. They were very fortunate the day they were rescued from the street.
To be happy, Maura only needs to feel loved and she must have her sister and best friend Ebby with her. They are a little shy so a quieter home would probably be best.
Would you give Maura a chance?

Ebby has a wish.
Ebby used to be living on the street along with her siblings and mom. Her family was lucky enough to have a kind rescuer that was feeding her but she was still on the street.
The street was cold and little Ebby didn't feel safe at all. At her foster home Ebby is safe, warm and doesn't have to go hungry ever again. She is working really hard on letting her foster family pet her and lavish attention on her. She loves to play with the toys she finds almost as much as she enjoys playing with her siblings.
Please grant Ebby's wish to have her own family along with her sister and best friend Maura.

Will purr for love!
Nata has a look of concentrated curiosity. She has a long lean body, silky black fur with white paws and tummy and a distinct “milk moustache”. She is a more cautious kitty who often watches and studies things before sticking her nose in or joining in, even to play.
Nata and her family survived on the streets for several weeks before rescue. At first she was so nervous she trembled when eating. As she became more certain about her surroundings and gained some confidence she was the first to reward pets with her purr. She remains shy and reserved around people but is coming to trust familiar people. When picked up and talked to Nata listens very intently.
Nata is an experienced carpet surfer. A new wand toy has her leaping in the air. She plays with her siblings, racing up and down the hallway and scrambling up and down the cat climber, but Nata likes to have a secluded spot to hide or sleep. She is not yet a cuddle-up lap cat, but her purr says she’d like to be.
Let Nata purr her way into your heart.

Big Softie..
Singer and his family were rescued after surviving several weeks on the street so he still has a few remaining trust issues. Household noises and activities were all new to him, but he’s now much calmer about the loud startling ones like the blender. He has learned to accept petting and even a little cuddling when it doesn’t interrupt his playtime.
Singer is the big boy in his family and the most laid-back of the bunch. He’ll race and tussle with the best of ‘em, but he’s no rabble-rouser. Though he probably doesn’t like to admit it, his black fur is the softest and fluffiest of his siblings and he acquired his name because he liked to sleep in the Singer sewing machine. When brushed, Singer stretched out enjoying the pampering.
Singer is a calm quiet guy who hangs around in the kitchen and likes to sleep in the house at the top of the cat-climber. Though not yet a lap cat, Singer is a big softy
Is there room in your heart for this wee fellow?

Charming, shy baby looking for a home...
In appearance Ditto is a slightly smaller duplicate of her brother Singer. She is however, the most timid among her siblings, still working to overcome the stresses and experiences of being rescued after enduring several weeks on the streets.
For a long while Ditto preferred to sleep in a secret hidden spot but is now secure enough to curl up or stretch out almost anywhere. She had been the last of the kittens to tiptoe out to play but now joins the others in the stampede to the food bowl or getting air time leaping for the wand toy. Like her look-alike brother Singer, Ditto is a quieter kitty, who expressed her doubts by aversion, - running away or hiding. Ditto learned to be brave in the company of her brothers and sister and now accepts some petting and even responds with a purr. This shy little lady still needs a calm, quiet, patient home, preferably with a kitty companion to encourage her to trust the people who want to love her.
Ditto for all her shyness from people, has an independent investigative streak. She’s a snoop. She knows to call out for rescue when her explorations get her closed in closets and cupboards, - - checking for dust-bunnies and lost buttons, - - at least that’s what she tells us
Ditto only needs patience and love to be happy!

Good Night!
Night is a demure kitten with a white mark on her right cheek, white whiskers and white "gloves" on only her back paws with a sleek black coat.
She is calm and peaceful..but also loves a good chase with the bell-balls. She likes to come say hello and even perch on your shoulder if you don't mind!
Because she is still a youngster, Night will need to have a full time companion to help her feel safe and secure in her new home.

A scholarly fellow
Pony is a quiet studious young cat who prefers to watch the action from the sidelines.
He loves cheek rubs and purrs like a motorboat when he is happy. Although Pony has made great strides in his comfort level around people, he will need to have his forever family understand that he still has a ways to go before he will be at ease around people.
As Pony is still a youngster he will need a companion to help him feel safe and secure.
Patience and love are all this kitten needs.

Slippers the tough guy!
Slippers was a very shy kitten when he first came to his foster home. He has worked really, really hard to be a friendly, outgoing kitten when he sees his foster family. Although he is still hisses at every situation that scares him, he has never gone any farther than that. He may be all hiss and no action!
This handsome kitten will need a patient, forever home that will realize that underneath the hissing is a little kitten who is just scared and isn’t out to make any enemies.
Slippers does love to play with the feather wand and of course his siblings are his best buddies.
Please see a sweet, shy kitten when you see Slippers.

Shoeless Joe is one of the lucky kittens. He was rescued from the street when he was already a few weeks old. He was well on his way to becoming a feral street cat had his rescuer not stepped in.
When he was first at his foster home, Shoeless Joe was frightened and did not want anything to do with his foster mom. What a difference a few weeks make!
Now this little boy loves to be held on you lap. He is very gentle, has the most adoring face, and loves to play.
He would like to be adopted with one of his brothers or sisters and he will need to have a companion in his new forever home to keep him feeling safe and secure.

Manuel the brave little kitten!
Manuel and his sister were trapped when both were already a few weeks old. He hadn't had a lot of people experience until he came to his foster home. The end of his wee tail looks as if it was broken and his ear has a nick in it. Street life was tough on this little fellow.
At his foster home, Manuel likes to play with his sister Rosalita and his new toys. He also loves to eat! He must be making up for lost time (or planning a really big growth spurt).

Marlin is a shy little kitten. She was rescued when she was almost 2 months old and has found adjusting from street life to living in a people house a little bit of a challenge. She always feels more confident when her sister Brookie is around.
Marlin sleeps in her cat tower with her mom. If her foster mom or dad come into the room when she is out, she will zip inside the cat tower. Her foster family can pet her and she will purr while she is inside the cat tower and feeling safe.
When it is playtime, Marlin is an expert jumper and tumbler. She has taken a particular liking to the feather wand toy that her people friends use.

Of course Brookie loves to tumble and play with her sister Marlin. Wand toys are a particular favorite of the girls!
Brookie purrs when petted and will sleep on your lap if you place her there. She likes chin rubs, body pets, and even tummy rubs. It is amazing how sweet she is after growing up outside!

With a sweet and innocent face like this, it is a wonder Trixie hasn’t found her forever home already. Perhaps it is because she is shy around people and is not the most outgoing cat in the world. She has made progress in the shyness department and now enjoys being petted and brushed.
Trixie is very polite and does appreciate the people in her life, and enjoys their company. This isn’t a princess cat but more of a sweet girl who feels fortunate not to be on the street anymore.
In her spare time, Trixie loves to play with toy mice and once she “catches” one, she is off growling, a warning to others who might want her trophy. She is all show however, and would need to have a companion cat to snuggle with her and be her close friend.

Crisanta will adjust to her new home fairly quickly, but she does have one request - to please be patient and understanding while she settles in.

I deserve you!
Amira was rescued when she was pregnant with her kittens. Thankfully she gave birth in the safety of a foster home. Although she was grateful to have her kittens safe, Amira is still shy when it comes to people.
She is curious about people and will watch you when you are nearby and she accepts pet times from her favourite volunteers.
Because she is shy, Amira is worried she may have to wait a long time for love to find her. She needs a family that will love her for how she is and will be prepared to work with her to become more people-friendly.
Please give Amira a second chance.

Bobbin came from a large colony, the same one as her best friend Amira. She was all too willing to assume care of the youngsters when needed. Since coming to the MEOW Adoption Center, she has been enjoying a lot of free time which she spends playing and just looking so darn cute!
Bobbin is looking forward to playing with you.

FP5 (Superlative Feral Powers Needed
Dodie is a nice companion cat who enjoys the company of felines and humans. She isn’t a cat who likes to be handled and really is confused by all the loving that the other cats indulge in. However, she is interested in people, liking to come and chat with her foster mom, she loves games, romps on cat furniture and plays with toys, and does very much enjoy eating tasty treats supplies by her foster mom. She will take treats from the hand and also enjoys it when they are tossed for her to chase and capture.
Quite often when frightened kitties start chatting and coming up to people they feel motivated to move further in life. Dodie is now at that important crossroads in her life!
She doesn’t want to be left out and she comes to greet her foster mom at the door and sniff her hand. Dodie needs the companionship of a nice mellow cat who is near her age and playful. She is a little bashful and will hide from people she doesn’t know since she’s a bit introverted, but there is that curious side of her that just can’t resist at least watching what is going on!

Shy but worth it!
Bellini is a fine example of a resourceful street mom. She is grateful she was rescued along with her four kittens. Now comes the hard part. This former street gal is trying her hardest to adjust to life in a people house.
Because she has had little contact with people, she is shy and very uneasy around her two legged friends. Treats are a good way to slowly get Bellini to realize that people are 'ok'.
Bellini will need her new family to be understanding of her fear and to be patient as she works on being brave.
Bellini thanks you for giving her a chance.

Mistral doesn't really mind that she isn't a flashy color. She knows that what matters is what is inside. Besides, a glossy black coat is very slimming!
Mistral was rescued from a feral colony and was expected to be feral. Ha! She is far from feral, and is quite the social kitty. She loves to play and cuddle with her foster mom, especially on a cold night!
Mistral is anxiously awaiting the next step and that is to find a family. She isn't sure what she is looking for in a family, but she does know that if the family comes with lots of love she is all for it.
Please give Mistral the home she desires.

This sock wearing fellow is a free thinking soul who prefers to do his own thing and not follow the crowd. When his sibling gets into playtime, Bloke would rather sit and watch from the sidelines.
He is still working on his people skills and likes to hiss and pretend he is a tough guy, but he would never follow through on his threats. Howdy Partner!
Slim Dusty is a lucky kitten. Not only is he stunning but he was fortunate enough to be adopted into a kitten family. His new siblings and mom accepted him right away. Perhaps he is looking for his new human family to come along and whisk him away to a lifetime of bliss!
At his foster home, Slim is very shy and hasn’t learned to enjoy pets from his foster mom. He has started to accept treats now and then, which proves that his is trying his best to be brave and adjust.
What he needs now is his fairy tale family to come along and accept him as he is. He will also need his new family to be patient as he adjusts from a frightened little kitten into a confident cat.

Just look at those exquisite eyes!
This bashful beauty honed her hunting skills during her life on the street. While living inside has it's perks (namely food and shelter!), Shira also likes to keep her lithe body in shape by playing with simple toys like toy mice.
Shira has been working on her people skills and has discovered that she likes gentle pets! This is wonderful progress for this kitty.
What she needs now is a family to understand her background and to be patient, but most importantly, accept her for who she is. A few kitty treats wouldn't hurt either!

Although Betsy is still a very shy girl, she will let you pet her. She is a little uncomfortable when she is petted, but it is a wonderful breakthrough that she will allow pets.
When her foster mom is in their room, Betsy never moves out of her safe hiding post. As soon as the people leave, Betsy is out and about. She love to play with all the kitty toys in her safe room. She is a beautiful girl and will just take time to bond with a new family. Betsy will need a cat companion in her new home as she loves to be around other felines. In her foster home, Betsy gets along very well with all her foster cats.

Shakira really had bad luck. Not only was she homeless and doing her very best to look after 4 kittens, but the area she had been getting fed in decided she was no longer wanted.
When she came to the MEOW Adoption Center, Shakira must have wondered what was going on. Life on the street was no picnic but it was all she knew.
Shakira will allow short petting sessions if the right person goes slowly enough. She seems interested in people but just not too sure what to do with them!
Shakira will need her new family to accept her the way she is and be patient as she slowly figures them out!
